Right in the middle of Ayodhya, next to the silent flow of the holy Sarayu River, we see the temple dedicated to Ram – the temple which stands out as a calling to worship a testimony of history that bring here pilgrims from all corners of the earth. Every step of my march to this monumental site became not just another physical crusade but also a mystical trip in time and faith that every age had to make.
The impact of the temple structure was impressive to me from the first sight so I felt the sacred and reverential atmosphere which marked the area. Architecture with detailed design crafted by carvings and sculptures seemed to tell stories of our people's commitment and expertise in the past.
The shelter shed held the breathless air of Lord Rama itself, as one could almost feel Rama’s footsteps are still beating in the holy halls. Grateful devotees uttered their prayer with hands folded, their face dewy with the faith while others among them sat quietly in contemplation, completely involved in their own spiritual awakening.
Having ten thousand feet make me almost continually marvel at all the strata of history that, similar to the labyrinthine walls, were intertwined within the fortress walls. The stones are present right at the moment of origin and time passes, they remain acutely aware of each part of it, from ancient ruins to recent events that shaped the fate.
At the same time, despite the memories that still seemed haunting, there were feelings of readiness and expectation for something new. The ongoing expansion of Ram Mandir has already proved that faith can prevail regardless of the disclosure boundary and mainly unifies us under the umbrella of human legacy.
I am leaving light-hearted and the relief I get sheds some extra weight on my soul I probably carried in the past few years. The trip to the Ram Temple, more than mere pilgrimage, had reminded me of the eternal truths of life - those that happen to be my driving force as I look for the meaning of life and all that lies beyond. At the end of her ordeal, Ayodhya reveals itself as a source of comfort and strength, awakening the awakening of the awakening of divine blessings for everyone in need.
